Alveta Aycock

DEXTER - Alveta Murphy Aycock, 69, died April 20, 2003, at her home.

Born April 16 ,1934, in Bernie, daughter of Lorell Crabtree Murphy of Dexter and the late Ralph Murphy, she retired from the business office at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

On May 23, 1953, in Parma, she married James F. Aycock who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2001.

Survivors include: one daughter, Joy Aycock of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Quincy Murphy of Dexter and Gary Murphy and Berry Murphy of Bernie; and two sisters, Arvella Palmer of Poplar Bluff and Linda Garner of Sikeston.

Visitation is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
