Glendale Becking

BERNIE - Glendale Lee Becking, 75, died April 1, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 2, 1927, in Bernie, son of the late Joseph George and Columbia Belle Cook Becking, he was a farmer and owned and operated the Becking Seed and Fertilizer Plant in Bernie before retiring.

On June 19, 1948, at Piggott, Ark., he married Amy Nell Kifer who preceded him in death on Nov. 26, 2001.

Survivors include: two daughters, Lana Becking and Cindy Becking of Bernie; one brother, J.T. Becking of Bernie; one sister, Vivian Summers of Grand Blanc, Mich.; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Susan Marner-Sides will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
