DEXTER - Johnie Baker, 71, died March 31, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.
Born Sept. 28, 1931, in Essex, son of the late John William and Veda Boyt Baker, he worked for the FCH Farms before retiring.
On Dec. 22, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., he married Dora Wauer who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Larry L. Baker of Alton, Ill.; one brother, Harold A. Yancey of Salcedo; four sisters, Carol Ann Woodall and Kathy Taylor of Matthews, Norma Busby of Anna, Ill., and Ruth Avery of Bell City; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
