James Hopper
MOREHOUSE -- James Edward Hopper, 54, formerly of Matthews and Sikeston, died April 20, 2003, at his home.
Born Sept. 19, 1948, in Lexington, Tenn., son of the late L.V. and Lois Ella Flatt Hopper, he moved to Morehouse two years ago.
Survivors include: one son, Tim Hopper of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Ella L. Long of Sikeston; four brothers, Andy Hopper of Adamsville, Tenn., William Hopper of Rockford, Ill., and Randy Hopper and Mike Burton of Sikeston; three sisters, Doris Heavener of Sikeston, Joyce Sissom of Sweet Lips, Tenn., and Barbara Flanigan of Morehouse; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Tyler Hopper; and one daughter, Barbara Hopper.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Titus Davis of Cape Girardeau will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
