Henry Groves Jr.

DENVER, Colo. -- Henry Leon Groves Jr., 62, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Oct. 5, 2002.

Born Sept. 30, 1940, son of the late H. Leon and Louise Stubblefield Groves, he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau with a degree in geology and did his graduate work at the University of Colorado. He worked for the U.S. Geological Survey Department in Denver until his retirement.

Survivors include: a sister, Carolyn Rannells of Dexter; Greg Rannells of St. Louis; Karen Lemons, Lauren Lemons and Michael Lemons of Shawnee, Kan.; Robert Restad of Breckenridge; and John Harper of Sikeston.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
