Lucille Emerson

MORLEY - Lucille Emerson, 79, died at 1 p.m. Oct. 10, 2002, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Born Nov. 7, 1922, in Corning, Ark., daughter of the late William and Liza Tyree Isaacs, she retired as a machine operator for the International Hat Factory in Oran. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morley. On June 14, 1941, she married Raymond Emerson Jr. who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1996.

Survivors include: two sons, Jim Emerson of Chaffee and Bradley Emerson of Kennett; six daughters, Florence Emerson of Chaffee, Ginny Grant and Brenda Schwepker of Morley, Glenda Emerson of Scott City, Cheryl Young of Stuttgart, Germany and Kay Huckstep of Jackson; and 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were four brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Morley with the Rev. Jim Matthews and the Rev. Delbert Bishop officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.

Pallbearers will be: Shane Halter, Michael Young, Steven Pobst, Jamie Laramore, Jody Laramore, Chad Laramore, Danny McDonald, Kerry Emerson, Brett Emerson, Jordan Dirnberger, Jared Dirnberger, Jacob Dirnberger, Ralph McDonald and Scott McDonald.
