Grace Ourth

CHAFFEE - Grace Mae Ourth, 80, died at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 23, 2002, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born March 31, 1922, in Parma, daughter of the late Robert William and Blanche Elizabeth Knupp Biby, she retired as a machine operator for the Florsheim Shoe Company in Chaffee. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Daughters of St. Ambrose in Chaffee.

On Nov. 13, 1943, she married Gregory M. Ourth who preceded her in death on March 23, 1989.

Survivors include: three sons, Raymond Ourth of Cape Girardeau, Gregg Ourth Jr. of Oran and Brian Ourth of Chaffee; two daughters, Bernice Atkins of Chaffee and Rebecca Seyer of New Hamburg; two sisters, Maudie Schmitt and Myrtle Slack of Chaffee; and 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One brother also preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Friend Cemetery at Oran.

Pallbearers will be: Sid Atkins, Chris Seyer and Steve Shoemaker.
