Edward Koppman
PUXICO - Edward G. Koppman, 74, died April 26, 2003, at the Puxico Nursing Center.
Born July 18, 1928, in St. Louis, son of the late Louis and Lura Rollman Koppman, he lived in St. Louis before moving to the Puxico and Wappapello areas in the 1980s. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired as a painter from General Motors in St. Louis and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico.
His first wife, Clairce Hancock, preceded him in death.
On July 18, 1995, in St. Louis, he married Lorraine Chaney Zoll who survives of Wappapello.
Other survivors include: one stepson, Jerry Hancock of Illinois; one stepdaughter, Marva Wheat of St. Louis; one brother, Jerry "Pete" Koppman of Puxico; and five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico with the Rev. Marshall Link and the Rev. Buzz Brown of Puxico, officiating.
Burial followed in the Puxico Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: John Davis, Buzz Brown, George Vails, Ray Payne, Harlen Lamb and Rudy Williams.
