Butch Wilson

EAST PRAIRIE - David Bruce "Butch" Wilson, 51, died April 22, 2003.

Born July 15, 1951, in Wolf Island, son of Anna Ellen Bailey Wilson of East Prairie and the late David Lindsay Wilson, he was a lifelong resident of East Prairie and of the Baptist belief.

On July 20, 1984, in Celina, Ohio, he married Pat Ross who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Daphne and James Thomas of Charleston and Laura Wilson of Clayton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Geary and Dorothy Wilson, Donald and Brenda Wilson and Richard and Barbara Wilson of East Prairie; one sister, Patsy Ann Wilson-Bennett of Pasadena, Calif.; two grandchildren, Haley Thomas and Derek Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday with Joey Manning, officiating.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Bobby Tripp, Carl Ray Metheney, James Thomas, Larry Price, J.T. Johnson and Randy Oatsvall.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Harry Wayne Mayabb and Billie Barnes.
