SIKESTON - Announcement has been made that Birch, America's foremost magician, with his company of assisting artists, will play an engagement in Sikeston at the high school gymnasium April 30.

SIKESTON - In the war-time drama, "Stalag 13," Tony Statler steps into the spotlight for his premiere performance in a Little Theatre cast.

SIKESTON - Stork Club: Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Townsend of Charleston are the parents of a baby boy in the Missouri Delta Community Hospital. A baby girl arrived in the local hospital for Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Lawrence of Sikeston.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Community Choir's 5th annual Spring Concert is scheduled May 1 at 2:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Soloists will include Thad Pyron and Terry Patton who will sing a duet entitled "Benedictus." Nancy Bird is the accompanist and special intermission entertainment will be provided by Terry Burke.

DELTA - Kelly pitcher Julie Pemberton tossed a complete game no-hitter against Delta Thursday afternoon as the Lady Hawks thumped Delta 23-0.

SIKESTON - Employees of Apex Paving Company of Sikeston spent Friday putting the finishing touches on new walkways at the Sikeston Recreational Complex ball fields. The $28,000 walkways will provide handicapped residents with a safer and easier way to the ball fields and comply with new federal regulations.
