DEXTER -- Edith Mae Davis, 85, died Dec. 6, 2002, at the Cypress Point Healthcare Center in Dexter.

Born May 11, 1917, in Malden, daughter of the late Claude and Iva Harvey Medlin Sr., she had lived in Bell City and Campbell before moving to Dexter in 1965. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter.

On Nov. 13, 1935, in Malden, she married Theodore Alexander Davis who preceded her in death on March 18, 1980.

Survivors include: one daughter, Phyllis Mason of Dexter; four sons, Cletis E. Davis of Sebring, Fla., Donald D. Davis of Dexter and Junior Lee Davis and Theodore Davis Jr. of Sikeston; one sister, Zelpha McCain of Marion, Ind.; two half-sisters, Dorothy VanderMolen and Geraldine Richter of Muskegan, Mich.; three half-brothers, Harold Medlin of Marion, Ind., and Claude Medlin and David Medlin of Dexter; and 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Keith Garland of Dexter and the Rev. Mark Sparks of Bossier City, La., will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
