Jerry Galeener
ROUND ROCK, Texas - Jerry Hallett Galeener, 85, died Dec. 3, 2002, at the Round Rock Medical Center.
Born Aug. 4, 1917, in Sikeston, Mo., son of the late John Halbert and Lena Aspisa Marshall Galeener, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. He moved to Houston in 1931 where he graduated from Sam Houston High School and, in 1936, he relocated to Austin.
Survivors include: one nephew, William John Galeener of Houston; two nieces, Janet Galeener Redeker and Judye Galeener Hartman of Houston; three great-nephews, Sean Redeker of Austin, Ben Hartman of Houston and Adam Hartman of San Francisco, Calif.; one great-niece, Catherine Galeener of San Francisco; and two cousins, Jack Yount and Marylin Mayfield Dement of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Monday until service time at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Bill Koch, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Entombment will follow in the Sikeston City Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be: Edward Dement, Gene Dement, Wade Parker, Wayne Parker, Mitchell Sharp, Doug Shaw and Phil Tidwell.
