DEXTER - Judy Ward-Blackler, 50, died March 24, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.

Born Sept. 18, 1952, in Dexter, daughter of Reba Brazel Ward of Dexter and the late James "Jack" Ward, she graduated from Dexter High School. She lived in St. Charles for many years before returning to Dexter in 1996, where she was a travel agent for VIP Travels and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

On Sept. 11, 1982, near Silva, she married Bob Blackler who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: three daughters, Brandi Jolle Blackler and Vicki Joriane Blackler of Dexter and Kelly Metcalf of Laurie; one son, Skylor Ward Blackler of Dexter; and two brothers, Rick Ward of Chesterfield and Treye Ward of Jackson.

Preceding her in death were one son, James Curtis Blackler; one stepson, Chad Robert Blackler; and two brothers, Chuck Ward on July 10, 1992, and Shane Ward who died in infancy.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
