DEXTER - Wilma Mae Hampton, 85, died April 24, 2003, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.

Born April 2, 1918, near Dexter, daughter of the late Edward and Velma Kitchens Fritts, she lived in Malden and Dexter all her life. She retired as a seamstress for the Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter and was a member of the Dexter Church of God.

On Feb. 16, 1938, in Bloomfield, she married Wilber B. Hampton who preceded her in death on May 25, 1981.

Survivors include: two brothers, Wilfred Fritts of Flint, Mich., and George Fritts of Pacific; four sisters, Emma Niehaus and Eva McKinley of Dexter, Delores Maloney of Malden and Betty Killian of Poplar Bluff; and 13 nieces and nephews.

One sister, Barbara Ann Fritts, preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Rick Patterson of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
