FARMINGTON - Paul Embro Johnson, 67, formerly of East Prairie, died at 7:17 p.m. April 24, 2003, at his home.

Born Feb. 5, 1936, in East Prairie, son of the late Rosalee Johnson Smith, he was a retired handyman and of the Baptist belief. He lived in East Prairie before moving to Farmington 10 years ago.

His wife, Jessie Marie Armstrong Johnson, preceded him in death on April 18, 2003.

Also one sister, Earlene Smith, preceded him in death.

Survivors include: five sons, Bill Johnson and Stanley Johnson of East Prairie, Marling Johnson of Belgrade, Randy Johnson of Bonne Terre and Merle Johnson of Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Paula Miller of Cape Girardeau, Rosalee Miller and Luann Pohl of Doe Run, Tina Johnson and Christine Johnson of Trion, Ga.; one brother, Franklin Coke of Anniston; one sister, Myrtle Smith of East Prairie; and 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with the Rev. Buddy Hannah, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
