W.P. Wilson
EAST PRAIRIE - W.P. Wilson, 66, died at 6:45 a.m. Sept. 6, 2003, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 17, 1937, at Ridgely, Tenn., son of the late William and Mary Belle Moore Wilson, he lived most of his live in East Prairie where he was a member of the First General Baptist Church and self-employed as a plumber for 35 years until retiring due to ill health.
In February 1983 he married Dorothy Lee Faire who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Kevin Dwayne Wilson of East Prairie, William Anthony Adams of Licking and Richard Gordon Adams of East Prairie; three daughters, Joy Carol Gower of Bowling Green, Ky., Gloria Jean Johnson of Benton, Ky., and Carla Sue Aters of East Prairie; two sisters, Cora Ann Morgan of East Prairie and Louise Razor of Charleston; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One brother, Lawrence Wilson, preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Dale Billingsly, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of East Prairie, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
