POTOSI -- Joyce Adele Ezell Griffin, 65, died Aug. 8, 2003, at the Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi.

Born Dec. 11, 1937, in St. Francis, Ark., daughter of the late John Delbert and Nellie June Kutchin Ezell, she had lived in Dudley until 1973 when she moved to Potosi, where she was a retired beautician and member of the Potosi Church of God.

On June 9, 1956, in Bloomfield, she married Lowan Griffin who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Roland Griffin of Charleston, William Griffin of Potosi and Mark Griffin of Caledonia; one daughter, Tijuanna "Tootie" Sifford of Dexter; four brothers, William Ezell of Perry, Kan., Bob Ezell of Las Vegas, Nev., Teddy Ezell of Jacksonville, Ark., and Ray Ezell of Dexter; four sisters, Bonita Lewis of Maricopa, Calif., Doris Bosse of Bakersfield, Calif., Linda Beck of Holts Summit and Shirley Smith of Sullivan; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Jewel Ezell, Jerry Lynn Ezell and J.D. Ezell; and one sister, Betty Smothers, preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Roger Taber of Potosi officiating.

Burial will be in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter.
