BERNIE -- Esther Elloise Carson, 86, died June 27, 2005, at her daughter's residence in Dexter.
Born Sept. 4, 1918, at Essex, daughter of the late Bransford and Ida Phillips Wilmath, she was a resident of Bernie, where she had worked at Brown Shoe Company and cleaned houses. She was also a former employee of Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter, a farmer and of the Nazarene belief.
On Dec. 25, 1936, in Bernie, she married Frank Carson who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1976.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sheron Duffie of Dexter and Virginia Kincannon of St. Louis; and four grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Efford Wilmath, Alford Wilmath, Junior Wilmath, Joe Wilmath, Kelly Wilmath, Thelwood Wilmath and Ed Wilmath; and three sisters, Margie Wilmath, Veda Tippet and Flossie Kelly.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until time for services at 11:30 a.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie. The Rev. Don Wells will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
