PORT ORANGE, Fla. - Edna Jeanetta Brown, 81, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died at 5:20 a.m. June 26, 2005, at the Terrace Nursing Care Center in Daytona Beach. Born Sept. 13, 1923, in Wyatt, Mo., daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Etta Baker, she moved to Florida seven years ago. She lived in Charleston most of her life, where she was a member of the First General Baptist Church and had been employed as an LPN at the Bertrand Nursing Center until her retirement in 1994...

PORT ORANGE, Fla. - Edna Jeanetta Brown, 81, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died at 5:20 a.m. June 26, 2005, at the Terrace Nursing Care Center in Daytona Beach.

Born Sept. 13, 1923, in Wyatt, Mo., daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Etta Baker, she moved to Florida seven years ago. She lived in Charleston most of her life, where she was a member of the First General Baptist Church and had been employed as an LPN at the Bertrand Nursing Center until her retirement in 1994.

In 1937, she married Vernon Edward Brown, who preceded her in death in 1984.

Also preceding her in death were: three sons, Larry Brown, Harold Brown and Vernon Wilbur Brown; one daughter, Yvonne Carrol Brown; one brother, Arlye Baker; and one sister, Inolla Terrell.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sheila Rich and Christine Brown of Port Orange; two sisters, Doris Jenkins of Rockford, Ill. and Dorothy Weakley of Glen Allen, Mo.; and 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 13 great-

great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Bill Meeks, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Charleston will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher Rich, Benjamin Rich, Darryl Brown, Brandon Weakley, Chad Weakley and Loren Terrell.
