Sikeston pharmacist is serving as officer in state association
OSAGE BEACH - Pharmacist Sandra Bollinger, Pharm.D., the disease management coordinator at Super D/USA Drug in Sikeston, is the new secretary of the Missouri Pharmacy Association. She was installed in June at the Association's annual meeting at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.
In addition to her position with Super D, Bollinger is the owner of Health Priorities Inc., a preventive health and disease management pharmacy. She received her bachelor of science in pharmacy from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Pharmacy and her doctor of pharmacy degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.
Bollinger serves on the board of the Missouri Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Board. She is a member of the Missouri Pharmacy Association and also belongs to the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, National Community Pharmacists Association, American Pharmacists Association and Southeast Missouri Pharmacy Association. Currently she is serving a third term as president of the Cape County Pharmacy Association. She is an adjunct faculty member of the UMKC School of Pharmacy, St. Louis College of Pharmacy and Creighton University School of Pharmacy.
Her community activities currently include Alzheimer's Association Advisory Committee, Alzheimer's Association Speaker's Bureau, St. Denis Parish Council, New Hamburg/Benton DREAMS Team, High School CCD teacher and Replica trio.
Bollinger her husband, Howie, live in Benton.
The Missouri Pharmacy Association, based in Jefferson City, is a professional organization for pharmacists and serves as an advocate for quality pharmacy care for Missourians. The Association offers a variety of professional services for pharmacists and represents the profession in governmental and legislative matters.
