Speakout 8/3

Sunday, August 3, 2003

This is in answer to "Bring issue to a vote." Open your Bible to I Corinthians 6:9-10 and you will read where these people are going to live this lifestyle, and you along with them, unless you change. I don't understand idiots like you. I will be praying for you, whoever you are.

In response to the July 27 SpeakOut about bringing issues to a vote, this nation was founded on freedom, but just because you have freedom doesn't mean you can ignore the laws that God has set down. As a landmark, He says homosexuality is an abomination. Period. Soddom was destroyed because there weren't even 10 people with character. I would be wrong if I didn't remind you that sin is sin, whether it's homosexuality, adultery or envy. It's still sin. We can justify all we want to, but God judges.

I would like to respond to the July 27 SpeakOut, "Bring issue to a vote." God did not make "Adam and Steve," he made "Adam and Eve." God made animals to be attracted to the opposite sex; not the same sex. Maybe we could learn something from the animals. As a Christian, I am tired of having to accept what you call an "alternate lifestyle." My Bible calls it "sin." Why should we accept your ways when you can't even accept God's ways?

Our country and the world has lost a great man. Bob Hope was loved so much and respected by the American public. He served the United States military troops for 52 years. He deserves honor and respect by the United States government and we should consider making Bob Hope a national holiday. If anyone deserves that honor, he does. I want to thank our country for flying the American flag at half-mast. Thanks for the memories, Bob. We're going to miss you. You gave us so much joy and happiness during your time here on Earth.

I want to thank a little tiny blonde who works at Brown Shoes. I was out there recently filling out an application, as was another woman. The other woman left her two young kids under the age of 3 in her vehicle, which was running without the air conditioner on. One of the small children put the car in gear and rolled the car into another vehicle. When the mother saw what the child had done, she ran out there, grabbed that child up and was going to spank her. The little blonde kept that woman from spanking the little girl. The mother was mad, she was cussing and she was going to hurt that little girl. I just want to thank this young lady for caring enough to interfere and keep the mother from harming that child.

Parents need to teach children the proper way to ride their bicycles and teach them the traffic laws for riding bikes.
