Aaron Martin

BLOOMFIELD -- Aaron F. Martin, 63, died Sept. 16, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 13, 1939, in Caraway, Ark., son of the late Henry C. and Bracy Deola Gossien Martin, he moved to Sikeston in 1983 prior to moving to Farmington in 1984, where he owned and operated a boarding home for 12 years. In May 2002, he moved back to Bloomfield. He also served 21 years in the U.S. Army, where he was a senior drill sergeant.

Survivors include: two brothers, Bill Martin of Sikeston and Thomas E. Martin of Springfield; one sister, Pauline Lyons of Sikeston; and a special friend, Deloris Tucker of Bloomfield.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11:30 a.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Carl O'Dell of Parma will officiate.

Burial will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Ft. Leonard Wood Military Honors Team conducting military rites.
