Eldon Taylor Sr.

DECATUR, Ala. - Eldon Lee Taylor Sr., 56, died Aug. 8, 2003, at his residence.

Born July 10, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to Jim and Willa Faye Pruitt Taylor, who survive of Kevil, Ky., he was formerly of Dogwood, Mo., and Sikeston, Mo., moving to Decatur in 1986. He owned MidSouth Salvage.

Surviving in addition to his parents are: his wife, Nickie Taylor of Decatur; one son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Wendy Taylor of Decatur; one sister, Marilyn Crook of Kevil; and two granddaughters, Meredith and Lauren Taylor of Decatur.

One sister, Sharon Faye Taylor, preceded him in death.

Graveside services were conducted Sunday at the Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. John Clotfelter officiating.

Shelton Funeral Home of Decatur is in charge of arrangements.
