Tootie Holtzhouser
LILBOURN - Maudy Evelyn "Tootie" Holtzhouser, 79, died Sept. 3, 2003, at her home.
Born Nov. 29, 1923, in Lilbourn, daughter of the late Earnest Buell and Lura Dell Crayton Newton, she was a lifelong resident of Lilbourn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and VFW Post 7183 Ladies Auxiliary in Lilbourn and was employed with the People's Bank of Lilbourn before retiring.
On Sept. 20, 1941, she married Kenneth "Tude" Holtzhouser who preceded her in death on April 25, 1997.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Joe and Angie Holtzhouser of Lilbourn; one granddaughter, Robin Holtzhouser of Little Rock, Ark.; one grandson and his wife, Rick and Johnna Potter of Scott City; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie Potter and Nolan Potter of Scott City.
Also preceding her in death were one brother, J.T. Newton; and one daughter-in-law, Ruby Nell Holtzhouser.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Lilbourn with the Rev. Billy Davis, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Kimbrell Streeter, Billy Streeter, Scott Riley, Donald Ray Townley, Joe Edward Albright and Dick Twitty.
