PORTAGEVILLE - Alice Evans Pepper, 64, died Sept. 4, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 23, 1939, at Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Leo Galvan and Cathrine Rvis Galvan, she graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit, Mich. She was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Donnett Pepper of Gideon and William Scott and Cheri Pepper of Marston; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Ronnie Simmons, Regina Maria and Randy Hinklin and Denise Renee and James Johnson of Portageville and Valarie McShane and Timmy Bunch of Hayti; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Cris Galvan and Mike and Stella Galvan of Michigan; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and Paul Constante, Jessie and Chris Kobielski and Shirley and Ray Constante of Michigan; 16 grandchildren, Brandy, Chad, Timmy, Jenna, Timmy Allan, Debbie Kay, Crystal, Nadara Kimberly Ann, Chasity, Robert Lee, Matt, Shane, Alison, Jacob Scott, Josh and Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Patrick Allen and Chloe.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home, where a prayer service is scheduled for 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
