ORAN -- Oran's Ryan Bouge crossed the plate with the winning run on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 2-1 Scott-Mississippi Conference win over Delta on Friday.
Austin Dumey (2-0) tossed a complete game two-hitter for the win. He struck out nine and walked two.
Losing Delta hurler Cody Crowden also went the distance allowing three hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
Trevor Irwin, Caleb Seyer and Chase Seyer split the three Oran hits.
Oran (4-1, 2-0) meets Bloomfield on Monday at 4 p.m. at Bloomfield.
CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Sikeston outscored Perryville 4-3 in a shootout to win its opening game in the Cape Central Soccer Tournament on Friday.
The game was scoreless after regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods, forcing the shootout. Five players on each team attempted shots from 12 yards out against the opposition's goalie.
Sikeston's three goals from Jennifer Millington, Paige Silverthorn and Katie DeLaRosa were matched by Perryville's Amber Hacker, Chris Schremp and Ashley Riney.
Then in a sudden-death shootout, Sikeston's Kaitlyn Turnbow found the net for the gamewinner against the Pirates, who had dominated the Bulldogs in a 3-0 win on Tuesday.
Audra Wooley, in goal for Sikeston, stopped 28 shots for the shutout. "Audra made some amazing saves," said Sikeston coach Derrick Long. "It was a big win against an upper-echelon team."
Sikeston met the winner of the Cape Central vs. Farmington game on Saturday.
