DEXTER - About 500 volunteers from seven states were in Dexter Saturday putting finishing touches on the new Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. The building, which is located two miles west of Highway 25 on Highway 60, will have its doors open for the first meeting of the Jehovah's Witness today at 4 p.m.

SIKESTON - Mary Kathryn Finley was crowned Little Lady Belle at the Southern Belle Pageant. First alternate was Casey Robinson. Katy Turpin was second alternate. Jerica Henderson joined the court as third alternate.

BENTON - Mandy Lewis, a 1995 graduate of Kelly High School, will represent Missouri in the STAR events competition, July 7 through 14 at the FHA/HERO National Leadership Meeting in Washington, D.C. She presented an AIDS Communication and Education Program at the Missouri State Leadership Conference, where she won a gold medal in the Interpersonal Communication Competition. The 1994-1995 Kelly FHA president, she is the daughter of Nelson and Barbara Lewis of Sikeston.
