Three in custody after robbery

SIKESTON -- Three people are in custody after a robbery at Hibbett Sports Wednesday night.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. a male wearing a black hood grabbed a bank bag from an employee at Hibbett Sports. The bag contained an undetermined amount of money. The employee was not injured.

The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle was later stopped by officers with the Miner Police Department at State Highway AA.

At that time three men were taken into custody. The names are being withheld pending the filing of formal charges by the county prosecutor.
