Imogene Davis
DEXTER - Imogene L. Davis, 72, died Aug. 2, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.
Born Sept. 22, 1930, in Hartman, Ark., daughter of the late Earnest and Lela Marvel Steele, she lived in Lindsay, Calif., before moving to Dexter in 1978. A retired cook, she had owned and operated The Snack Bar in Dexter and attended the Church of Christ in Dexter.
On Feb. 17, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., she married Max R. Davis who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1999.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Reginald Steele, Leon Steele and Harold Steele.
Survivors include: two sons, Terry Lynn Davis of Dexter and Bobby Ray Davis of Springville, Calif.; one sister, Juanita Bryant of Dexter; one brother, James Steele of Dardanelle, Ark.; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter with the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter officiating.
