Dorothy Lowrey

PARMA - Dorothy E. Lowrey, 72, died Oct. 13, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 10, 1930, in Houlka, Miss., daughter of the late Leonard and Nannie Mae Gilliam Lowrey, she lived most of her life in Parma where she was a retired postal service employee and member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one sister, Mary Lynn Skiles of Cape Girardeau; and one brother, James "Bud" Lowrey of Pine Bluff, Ark.

One sister, Doris Jean Lowrey, preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Parma. The Rev. John Girdley of Parma and Dr. Derek Staples of Cape Girardeau will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
