SIKESTON - Lila Mae Porter passed away Aug. 31, 2003, at her home. Born Sept. 1, 1929, in the Tanner community near Sikeston, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Vielor Atnip Gray. SIKESTON - Lila Mae Porter passed away Aug. 31, 2003, at her home.

Born Sept. 1, 1929, in the Tanner community near Sikeston, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Vielor Atnip Gray. She attended school at Tanner and graduated from Blodgett High School. After high school, she spent several years doing secretarial work.

Her husband, Floyd Porter II, preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sisters, Maxine Martin of Festus, Virginia Blumenberg of Whitewater and Pat Malugen of Fenton.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Floyd Porter III on March 9, 2002; and two sisters.

She was interred with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
