ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Clarence Ray Vandemark, 69, died Sept. 20, 2003, at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria.

Born Feb. 18, 1934, in Matthews, Mo., son of the late John D. and Ausa Eagleton Vandemark, he was a printing officer with the U.S. Civil Service and veteran of the U.S. Army.

His wife, Leta Vandemark, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Eric J. Vandemark Jr. of Alexandria; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen V. and Scott Gregory of Gainesville and Kimberly V. and Mark Jones of Woodbridge; two sisters, Alma V. Henson of Locust Grove, Ga., and Delcia V. Hudson of Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at the Jefferson Funral Chapel in Alexandria with the Rev. W.T. Reynolds officiating.

Burial followed in Stonewall Memorial Gardens in Mannasses, Va.
