Henry Wolfe

ALLENVILLE - Henry Franklin Wolfe, 80, died at 6:40 a.m. Oct. 7, 2003, at the Jefferson Barracks Veterans Administration Medical Center in St. Louis.

Born Aug. 28, 1923, in Portageville, son of the late Charles Ernest and Mary Ann Ourth Wolfe, he was a retired carpenter and had been employed by the Jack Lopp Construction Company in Sikeston. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of the Allenville Baptist Church, Chapter 16 Disabled American Veterans and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.

On Feb. 20, 1946, he married Wanda Jewell Bishop who preceded him in death on Aug. 24, 2003.

Survivors include: two sons, Henry O. Wolfe of Cape Girardeau and Larry Wolfe of Allenville; one daughter, Kim Wolfe of Allenville; three brothers, Tom Wolfe, Buck Wolfe and Bobby Wolfe of Chaffee; two sisters, Stella Tweedy and Lucille Schmitt of Chaffee; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One daughter and one brother also preceded him in death.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Phil Thompson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.

Pallbearers will be: Lance Frazier, Donnie Dysinger, Greg Bone and David Coomer.
