SIKESTON -- David M. Kelley, 82, died Oct. 21, 2003, from injuries sustained in a fire at his home.

orn March 9, 1920, in Searcy, Ark., son of the late Homer and Myrtle Kelley, he served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for the Associated Natural Gas Company in Sikeston for 10 years and for the Consumer Power Company in Lapeer, Mich., before retiring.

He married Audrey Lynxwiler who preceded him in death.

Survivors include: three daughters, Davine Cochran and Bonnie Monan of Flint, Mich., and Paula Kelley of Jackson, Mich.; two sons, David Kelley of Chesterfield and Thomas Kelley of Sikeston; one sister, Dean Cruise of Morehouse; one brother, Dub Kelley of Morehouse; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were one brother, Ted Kelley; and one sister, Hope Nelson.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
