Charles Churchill

DEXTER - Charles William Churchill, 76, died Oct. 20, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Sept. 29, 1927, at Stuttgart, Ark., son of the late Paul and Sybil Hale Churchill, he had owned the Churchill Nursery in Dexter for more than 50 years and was a member of Dexter Elks Lodge 2439.

Survivors include: one son, Mark Churchill of Dexter; one daughter, Peggy McCoy of Dexter; one brother, Harold Churchill of Jonesboro, Ark.; one grandchild; and a special friend, Louise Waggoner.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Churchill and Verlin Churchill; and one sister, Marie Bryant.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Van Spray will officiate and rites will be conducted by Elks Lodge 2439.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
