Terry English made it four for four at Malden as he topped a strong 23 car Late Model field. Jeff Cone dominated in Modified to pick up his second win in the past three shows.
Tony Anglin returned to victory lane in the #54 Hobby Stock car. Johnny Houart won against a very strong field of Pure Street cars. Chris and Jason Simpson picked up their seventh Cruiser win of the year.
Terry English remained perfect at the Malden Speedway with his fourth Feature win. The past three wins were in dominating fashion, this time the outcome was not so cut and dried. English started ninth in the feature following a sluggish heat race and patiently moved through the field.
The first half of the race was a show in close driving as the top five pulled away in tandem from the rest of the field. 2003 track champion, Billy James built a modest cushion on the field while they battled for position behind him.
English took second on lap 12 and had caught James by lap 14. English took the lead a lap later as he dove out of turn two on to the back straight. A late caution flag set up a five lap dash to the finish. English got a good jump on the restart and cruised to victory. James held on for second. Jeff Walston of Paducah made a strong run to third in his second trip to Malden. Steve Rushin and Steve Karnes rounded out the top five.
Heat winners were Gary Beard, Kyle Beard, and James. Kevin Poole won the B-Main.
