BLOOMFIELD - Sylvia Eula French, 90, died Oct. 15, 2003, at the Cypress Point Health Center in Dexter.

Born June 15, 1913, in Stoddard County, daughter of the late John Wesley and Sadie Beal Sailors, she lived for many years in Bloomfield where she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 385 for more than 50 years.

On Feb. 25, 1933, she married John W. French who preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1984.

Survivors include: one son, Charles W. French of Hopkinsville, Ky.; two daughters, Helen Griffin of Bloomfield and Brenda Champ of Bowling Green, Ky.; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

One brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home where Eastern Star rites will be conducted at 7 p.m.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
