DEXTER - Carl Foster, 82, died Sept. 21, 2005, at his residence near Dexter.
Born Feb. 25, 1923, at Fornfelt, he was the son of the late William Edgar Foster and Laura Boss Foster. He was of the Assembly of God belief, a retired plaster contractor and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
On July 24, 1945, in Dexter, he married Myrtle Hallmark who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Sue Carney and Diane Walker, both of Dexter; one brother, Harry Foster of Dexter; one sister, Marjorie DeJournett of Jackson; one stepbrother, John Jackson of Dexter, one stepsister, Betty Mosbey of Dexter; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Josephine Foster; one brother, Bill Foster; one sister, Mildred Walker; and one stepbrother, David Jackson.
Visitation is scheduled for noon Friday, with services to follow at 2 p.m. at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Jack Wilhite will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
