Nova Jones

DEXTER - Nova Jean Jones, 78, died March 28, 2003, at Cypress Point Health Care in Dexter.

Born Sept. 20, 1924, in Republic, daughter of the late Enoch and Lena Shaw Pedigo, she was a lifelong resident of Dexter, where she was a charter member of the Faith Fellowship Church. She worked for the Dexter Hospital for many years and also for the Dexter Police Department before retiring.

On Sept. 5, 1975, she married Gilbert L. Jones who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1986.

One sister, Pansy Forkum, survives of Zalma.

Two sisters, Georgia Bell Pedigo and Irene Whitaker, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Sunday until service time at 1 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Karen Oldham of Dexter will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
