DEKALB, Ill. - Juanita Lorene Slinkard, 90, died at 12:35 p.m. March 13, 2006, at Pine Acres Care Center.
Born April 16, 1915, in Diehlstadt, daughter of the late William Harvey and Stella Jennings Griffith, she had worked as a seamstress for a clothing manufacturer.
On Aug. 12, 1932, she married Ora A. Slinkard, who preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1965.
One daughter, Violet Lee Berry; three sisters, Helen Tharp, Freda Oliver and Maxine Hawn; and one infant granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Eugene Slinkard of Florissant, Ray Slinkard of DeKalb and Darrel Slinkard of Ft. Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-
grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Cliff Day will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
