Lacy Cooper

DEXTER - Lacy Walker Cooper, 93, formerly of Bernie, died July 22, 2003, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.

Born July 26, 1909, in Ethridge, Tenn., daughter of the late William and Mary Carolyn Berry Hill, she was of the Southern Baptist belief.

On Sept. 8, 1930, in Piggott, Ark., she married Alva "Stubbie" Walker who preceded her in death on March 20, 1965. She later married Leonard Cooper, who died on Dec. 15, 1970.

Survivors include: one son, David Walker of Dexter; five daughters, June Hester of Branson, Clara Pullum of Chaffee, Joyce Mills of McKinney, Texas, and Mabel Snider and Judy Crump of Dexter; and 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were three grandchildren, Scott Crump, Mark Mills and Darlene Pullum; and one brother and three sisters.

No services have been scheduled.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
