DEXTER - Mary Colleen Homer, 74, died March 31, 2003, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston.
Born June 22, 1928, in Bloomfield, daughter of the late W.C. and Edith Williams Cates, she had lived in Bloomfield and Dexter for many years. A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University at Cape Girardeau, she retired as a teacher for Bloomfield Public Schools and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.
Survivors include: two sons, Bill Homer of Frisco, Texas and Martin Homer of Overland Park, Kan.; one sister, Carol Walters of St. Louis; and one grandson, Benjamin Olson Homer of Frisco.
One sister, Norma Lee Cooper, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Fred Leist of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
