Mattie Vinson

LILBOURN - Mattie Lou Vinson, 88, died July 17, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.

Born Dec. 20, 1914, in Cordova, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Jim and Ester Fleming Yancy.

Her husband, Eddie Vinson, preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter and one grandson.

Survivors include: one son, Benjamin Madison of Lilbourn; one sister, Cassell Lewis of Youngstown, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Sierra Denise Marsh and Demarkas Lavarr Marsh of Lilbourn and Keziah Day Shaun Madison and Kevin Charon Madison of Jefferson City.

Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn.

Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in New Madrid.

Ponder Funeral Home of Lilbourn is in charge of arrangements.
