CHARLESTON - James Davidson, 54, died at 8:37 p.m. Feb. 7, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 2, 1949, in Cairo, Ill., son of Roberta Hickey Davidson of Charleston and the late Vance Davidson, he was a truck driver until retiring in 2001. A member of Eagles Aerie 3319 of Sikeston, he also served with the Missouri National Guard.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: one son, Vance H. Davidson of Crescent City, Fla.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and Kenneth Bowman of Bertrand, Sharon and Mike Underhill of Sikeston and Vanessa and Dale Glenn of Charleston; three nieces, Katie Bowman of Bertrand, Megan Underhill of Sikeston and Lana Glenn of Charleston; and two nephews, Robbie Bowman of Atlanta, Ga., and Adam Glenn of Charleston.

Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until service time at 1 p.m. at McMikle Funeral Home. The Rev. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Underhill, Kenneth Bowman, Dale Glenn, Adam Glenn, Chuck Simmons, Butch Smoot and McIvan Jones.
