SCOTT CITY - Brenda Pearl Gould, 59, died at 12:40 p.m. Feb. 7, 2004, at her home.

Born Oct. 9, 1944, in Rome, Ga., daughter of James Curtis Holder McBurnett of Dupo, Ill., and the late Ruby Irene McClure McBurnett, she was a commercial copywriter and employed by KLID Radio in Poplar Bluff. She was of the Baptist belief.

On Dec. 8, 1961, at Garden Grove, Calif., she married Louis R. Gould who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Loren Gould and Robert Gould of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Lourenda Ferraresi of The Colony, Texas, and Selena Weaver of Scott City; one brother, Van McBurnett of Piedmont; one sister, Nancy Hiles of Dupo; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

One daughter, one brother and one grandchild preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Terry Eades will officiate.

Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.

Pallbearers will be: Ricky Weaver Jr., Chad Gould, Ron Goss, Dustin Reid, Jimmy Weldon and Clark Smith.
