SCOTT CITY - Clara Mae Sailer, 83, died at 5:01 p.m. April 11, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 8, 1920, in Fornfelt, daughter of the late John and Leona Wahl Wilhelm, she was a machinist for Ely Walker Co. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality in Scott City.
On July 24, 1943, in Scott City, she married Albert William "Bill" Sailer who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1988.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include: one daughter and her fiance, Kimberlee Dodson and Chris Stiles of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Peggy Butler of Cape Girardeau and Mary Stewart of Benton; two grandsons, Ryan Dodson of Lisle, Ill., and Dr. Robert Dodson of Cape Girardeau; and one great-granddaughter, Hannah Dodson.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. David Coon officiated.
Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery at Scott City.
