Eleanor Feemster

SCOTT CITY - Eleanor Elizabeth Feemster, 95, died at 6:47 a.m. March 1, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 9, 1908, in Rich Hill, to the late Charles M. and Margaret M. Flammang Ingram, she was a licensed practical nurse with the St. Francis Medical Center. A member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, she belonged to the Ladies Society of Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and the St. Francis "Quarter Century Club."

On Feb. 9, 1928, at Little Rock, she married Floyd Raymond Feemster, who preceded her in death on April 10, 1964. One son, one brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Phyllis Feemster of Saratoga, Calif., and Bob and Mary Feemster of Jackson; three grandchildren, Dr. Margaret "Betty" Feemster, Karen Feemster and Heather Feemster-Mastropierro; and one great-grandson, Christian Mastropierro.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City with the Rev. David Coon officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery at Scott City.
