Alfred Haney
BLOOMFIELD - Alfred Haney, 75, died Jan. 8, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare.
Born Nov. 18, 1928, in Commerce, son of the late Smith James and Madge Phipps Haney, he lived in the Bloomfield area for the past several years. A retired farmer and rancher, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
On Feb. 9, 1952, he married Glenda Moore, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, James Smith Haney and Jeffery Scott Haney of Bloomfield and Michael Allen Haney of Dexter; one daughter, Deborah Kay Christian of Bloomfield; three brothers, Eugene Haney and Joe Haney of Dexter and the Rev. John Haney of Rock Bridge, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. today at the Zion Cemetery near Bloomfield with the Rev. John Haney officiating.
Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
