DeWayne Frazier

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Gordon "DeWayne" Frazier, 45, formerly of Portageville, Mo., died Jan. 26, 2004, at his home.

Born Aug. 18, 1958, in Kansas City, son of Martha Lavern Frazier of St. Louis and the late Charles V. Jackson, he was a graduate of Portageville High School and earned a masters degree in special education. He was a teacher in Hernando, Miss.

Survivors in addition to his parents include: two brothers, Alonzo Tablet and Andre Martin of St. Louis, Mo.; and two sisters, Monica Olorunda and Myrtle Denise Segel of St. Louis.

His grandparents, the Rev. Damon and Myrtle Frazier, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at 2 p.m. at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Portageville. The Rev. Reggie Grant will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Lily of the Valley Cemetery at Point Pleasant, Mo.

DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville is in charge of arrangements.
