ORAN - James (Jim) A. Gosche has joined the Alliance Bank of Oran. J. Michael Pobst, community president, announced Gosche's appointment as vice president and branch manager at the new bank branch located at 1100 Highway W in Oran.

"Jim brings with him an enormous amount of banking experience and talent, which fits well with the Alliance Bank family," stated Pobst. "He knows the area and the people, which is the most important factor in doing business in a rural community. We are excited to have Jim join our team and look forward to help him serve the Oran and surrounding communities."

Gosche began his banking career in October 1975 with the Sikeston Production Credit Association as field representative in Portageville. He then joined Centerre Bank in Cape Girardeau in 1985 as vice president in lending. Most recently, he was employed with First Financial/Union Planters Bank for the past 11 years as senior vice president and branch manager of their Oran branch.

"I am very excited to have the opportunity to return to a community banking atmosphere. Having the ability to make decisions locally and service my customers with logical banking practices allows me to offer the necessary services to meet their individual needs," said Gosche.

A graduate of Oran High School and a 1975 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness, Gosche attended and graduated from the Colorado Graduate School of Banking in 1992. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Cape Girardeau, Knights of Columbus Oran Council and life-time member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Gosche and his wife, Mary, are member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau. They and their daughter, Amanda, reside in Cape Girardeau and their son, James Jr., lives in Perryville where he is employed by TG Missouri as an engineer.

Alliance Bank was established in 1997 and has expanded to an $80 million banking facility. The bank services Cape Girardeau, Scott, Perry, Stoddard, New Madrid and Mississippi counties in Southeast Missouri.
